LTE first, satellite where it counts
Every SiteFortress360 system ships with LTE connectivity included — that is the normal, base connection and it covers the large majority of DFW-area sites. Starlink is the upgrade for the sites where physics disagrees: rural laydown yards, canyons of steel and concrete, far-edge industrial land, or projects that simply want a bigger pipe for live view.

Whichever link carries the traffic, the architecture stays the same: detection and recording happen locally on the unit, so connectivity is for alerts, live view and management — never a single point of failure for evidence.

Do construction camera trailers need Wi-Fi?
No. SiteFortress360 units connect over LTE as standard — no customer Wi-Fi or internet is required, ever. Starlink is an optional +$100/mo upgrade for locations where cellular coverage is weak or where you want higher bandwidth or redundancy.
When should I add Starlink?
Three cases: (1) remote sites or metal-heavy environments where LTE signal is marginal, (2) sites that lean hard on live view and want more headroom than LTE provides, and (3) projects that want connectivity redundancy — LTE and satellite as complements. During qualification we check expected cellular coverage at your address and recommend honestly.
Does Starlink work everywhere?
Satellite service needs a clear view of the sky and is subject to the provider’s coverage and conditions — we never promise guaranteed coverage on any link, satellite or cellular. What we do promise: recording is local to the unit, so even a total connectivity outage never stops footage capture.
